Some okay, with boring on the side
Every Shabbat on the moshav, there are afternoon classes - shiurim - for the children. It's voluntary, but with a 1:00 p.m. starting time, most of the parents "send" their kids to it.
The place of the shiur varies from week to week - it's on a rotating basis and this past week, Chave graciously volunteered me to give the pre-school-aged shiur.
It was the second time I was inked in to do it, and after setting the world's record for the fastest shiur in the history of the moshav on my first attempt, I reluctantly agreed to do it again - not that I really had a choice.
I think Hadas likes when I do it. She was glowing from the moment she found out about it and was super hyper during the shiur, too.
And I have to say that I think I am good with kids in general, but I definitely feel that I have a "lost in translation" thing going on when I speak Hebrew. Nonetheless, this week I thought I put together an interesting lesson/story for the kids... and the marshmallows at the end were a big hit.
However, Chave told me later in the day that a friend of ours asked Hadas in the park how the shiur was and she answered, "It was a okay, but a little boring."
Hmmm... maybe that's why Hadas told us that the next time the shiur is in our house, she wants Chave to give it!

Oh, the kids know the food/junk is coming. Last time it was ices, but this time Hadas put in a request for the "shmells."
