Why I love Birthright
I think Taglit-birthright israel, otherwise simply known as Birthright, is amazing.
No, I have not been on the trip, and they have not paid me for this public address announcement. Nor, do they need me to wave their flag - see, according to the bus in this picture they have sponsored over 145,000 people - or as I like to say ambassadors - to come on a trip to Israel.
Amazing!
Furthermore, it seems that everyday Birthright buses are barrelling towards the north end of the country. They can be seen everywhere on the less-traveled roads of the Galilee and the Golan.
The picture above was taken just north of the Kinneret on the twisty road near the Corazim National Park, and I've also seen groups on Har Bental in the northern Golan, buses trudging along the eastern banks of the Kinneret in the southern Golan, and of course in the visitor center in Qatzrin.
So if you're thinking about signing up for Birthright, let me know. Who knows, maybe we can meet up and have a beer in the Golan Brewery?

It's too bad I didn't read this post on my trip six years ago!!!! :)
I LOVED the Golan - it was gorgeous...I still order wine from the Golan Heights Winery every holiday!
